Walter K. Farris, DMD

A Woodstock, IL native, Dr. Walter Farris graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and later received his Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Farris went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois. In dental school, he was inducted into the National Dental Honors Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) for excellence in academics, character, and professionalism. Dr. Farris is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) and the Chicago Dental Society (CDS).

Dr. Farris believes in a patient-centered approach to dentistry by promoting a relaxed and comfortable experience. He is committed to empowering his patients with education about their oral health and encourages his patients to become active participants in their treatment. Dr. Farris believes that a commitment to oral health is important for overall health.
In his free time, Wally likes trying new restaurants around Chicagoland with his wife, Megan. They also enjoy getting outdoors together to exercise with their dog, Mavis. He is a devoted Chicago sports fan and also enjoys board games and karaoke.


Bruce M. Farris DDS

Dr. Bruce Farris a lifelong resident of Woodstock, IL. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduate coursework in Molecular Biology. Dr. Farris received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of Illinois Dental School in 1987. He was a member the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity and a faculty/student liaison during his time training at U of I. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and the McHenry County Dental Society.

Dr. Farris takes great pride in getting to know his patients and has been providing a comfortable dental experience for his patients for over 30 years. When he isn’t treating patients, Bruce enjoys playing keyboard in his classic rock cover band and contributing to the running community in Woodstock. Bruce also serves on the District 200 School Board and the City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Commission.
